It will remain a 14-team event, but the three lowest-ranked teams will now play a ‘super series’ round for one spot in the main group stage, with two teams eliminated.

12 teams will compete in the second round, comprised of two groups of six. The top three sides from each group, plus the next highest placed team across both groups, will qualify for the Super 7 round.

The top four teams from the Super 7 will qualify for the semi-finals.
